XP Firewall Commander is a new control interface for the Windows XP-integrated firewall. By default, the Windows XP firewall comes activated for all Net settings, protecting the connection, but also sometimes impeding other types of actions. XP Firewall Commander lets you add or remove set exceptions and rules for the programs and services you want.
The program is well structured, with flaps to access the different options, and to add or remove rules easily. Adding a new exception is as simple as looking for the run file it relates to, and assigning it a name you want.
The program also lets you accept specific traffic, open ports and certain protocols, shut down or start up the firewall when you want, and in summary, be protected against threats from the Net, comfortably and in control.
