Dator is a small application that lets you convert your dates in the Gregorian calendar to an islamic one, and vice versa.

There are many differences between the two calendars. The Gregorian is based on the year of Jesus Christ´s birth. It was introduced in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII, so it recognizes two eras, before Christ and the dominican year. In this calendar the years have 12 months with 28-31 days with a total of 365-366 days. However, the Islamic calendar or Híjri moon calendar is based on the emigration of Muhammed to Meca in 622. In this calendar the year has 12 months, with 29-30 days, with a total of 354-355 days. As a result, getting the same day in both caledars is really idfficult.

Dator helps you get those dates, simply by indicating the date you want and in which calendar. Also, you can change the format of the dates as you want, to appear in the order you want, like for example, day-month-year, or year-month-day.
