It isnīt the highest, nor the coldest, nor is it in some remote unexplored place, but for a long time Cerro Torre (Argentina) has been considered by experts as the most difficult to climb in the world. Why? It has curious characteristics, like an enormous granite wall thatīs almost 1km vertically on all four sides, a strange icecap that makes access to the summit extremely difficult, and the bad weather conditions in the area. Although you canīt get to the summit, you can appreciate the beauty and power of it in Cerro Torre.
